Nike Unveils New Eco-Friendly Air Force 1 Colorway

Part of their "Plant Dye" collection

POSTED BY MALIN JONES

Nike has taken another step towards sustainability goals in their latest Air Force 1 colorway.

Part of Nike's eco-friendly "Plant Dye" collection, the new low-cut sneaker sports low-impact fabrics and natural dyes.

Named "Himalayan Rhubarb" the iconic silhouette has been garnished with some delicious hues to contrast the clean white upper and midsole.

A soft beige features on the Swoosh as well as the heel tab. The unique color is made from rhubarb extract which has been grown in the Himalayan mountains.

Details run throughout the sneaker with the traditional Nike Air stamp on the heel tab in black with a white text overlayed reading the sneaker's name.

Featured on the tongue sits a hand drawn leafy motif, continuing the nature theme in rich shades of green adding contrast to the neutral tones.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Himalayan Rhubarb” retails for £90 (approximately $126 USD) and is now available to buy on the Nike website.
