COMMES des GARCONS x Nike
After almost a year long wait, the collab is here.
All the way back in August last year, Commes des Garcons and Nike announced their latest collab – a new, co-branded version of the Nike Carnivore. And now – at long last – they’ve given us a release date. On May 1st, the shoes will finally be released on Dover Street Market’s E-shop.
The Nike Carnivore has several distinct lines, which in the past have been used to create interesting color contrasts and patterns, but this time the brand has embraced minimalism. The sneaker will be launched only in an all-black and all-white colorway, with the sole standout detail being the contrasting logo stamped on the back.
In spite of the fashion-forward look, the sneakers are built with practicality in mind. They have a bit of a space-age feel to them – only amplified by the monochromatic designs – with a Velcro fastening and an ankle strap.
Retailing at just under $350, you can grab a pair online here from May 1st.
