Kim Kardashian, Dua Lipa, and Nicole Kidman Turn Out The Balenciaga Couture Catwalk
The 51st Couture Collection was filled with celebrity guests.
Only one word can describe Kim Kardashian’s post-Kanye style – Balenciaga. Frequently photographed in Balenciaga pants-slash-boots and matching hoodies of just about any color, Kardashian has quickly become the poster child for Demna Gvasalia’s creative vision. It was no surprise when Kardashian walked through the parted white curtains of the Balenciaga 51st Couture Collection clad in a skin-tight, gloved black dress.
Kardashian, fit with the famous pants-slash-boots and outgrown platinum hair, was not the only celebrity taking a turn on the runway. Academy-Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman strutted in a 1960s-style metallic gown. Global pop star Dua Lipa modeled a form-fitting yellow dress. Selling Sunset’s villain, Christine Quinn, walked while wearing a sequined silver mini dress and matching train.
Supermodels Naomi Campbell and Bella Hadid also walked the show, rounding out the celebrity-filled cast. Hadid wore a green gown with a mini backside but a long front side, decorated with a bow on the chest. Campbell wore a dress fit for the queen of the catwalk, a regal black hoop skirt so enormous she had to squeeze through the curtains.
The show’s front row continued the celebrity trend. “Momager” Kris Jenner and famous child North West sat watching Kardashian represent couture. Balenciaga's it-girl and Euphoria’s stylish superstar, Alexa Demie, peered at the collection through her chic mini sunglasses. Other celeb attendees included fashion icon Tracee Ellis Ross and Future.
