We didn't see this one coming.

A rising star of the Japanese fashion industry, WIND AND SEA, founded in 2018 by Takashi Kumagai, is known for its unique streetwear pieces inspired by American popular culture. Producing iconic collaborations in recent months with the likes of rapper Nas and the National Basketball Association, WIND AND SEA is making their name internationally.

As a part of their Spring/Summer 2024 drops, WIND AND SEA is switching things up with an interesting collaboration partner: The Simpsons. The capsule collection, launched on May 12th, is a streetwear-focused line nodding to the renowned American animated comedy series.

Featuring long and short-sleeved t-shirts, cycle tees, hoodies, and duck jackets, this unique collaboration incorporates graphics from the acclaimed television show paired with the branding of the Japanese apparel brand.

Utilizing colors of black, white, yellow, and gray, along with pops of green and brown, the capsule line highlights each member of the Simpson family, particularly honing in on the mischievous quirks of Bart Simpson with the Bart Kickflip Tee, Graffiti Logo Hoodie, Bart Tee, and Bart and Homer Hoodie.

The standout piece of the collaboration, of course, is The Simpsons / WDS Duck Jacket. Coming in varieties of brown, olive, and black, the jacket is made of 100% cotton for a comfortable and breathable fit. Featuring embroidered patches of Bart, Lisa, and The Simpsons logo, the duck jacket seamlessly integrates WIND AND SEA lettering.

This limited edition collaboration, released in May of this year, is available only on WIND AND SEA’s online store. The pieces are expected to ship in July this summer, marking a convergence of Japanese streetwear and American pop culture.
