6 Designers To Get To Know This Year

With 2025 rushing by us already, we’ve picked out a handful of designers who are set to turn the tides in fashion this year. These are designers set to rise up and into the fashion scene with new, innovative, and unique ideas to ‘rock the boat’ with. Read on to gain some insight into the designs and designers to watch out for this year... 

Sarah Burton

Sarah Burton – the new creative director of Givenchy. Her bold and vibrant style, refreshing use of color, and generally playful and fun energy makes her one to look out for throughout the year. We know she’ll look after Givenchy well.

Haider Ackermann

Haider Ackermann – the new creative lead of Tom Ford. His dagger-sharp tailoring, sensual draping, and innovative sportswear in jewel tones, makes him something of a trailblazer when it comes to unique designs. He is set to rise further into the fashion scene with his new role at Tom Ford so he’s definitely someone to remember. 

Matthieu Blazy

Matthieu Blazy – the new artistic director of Chanel. His dedicated and powerful design approach, creative and attention-grabbing looks, and exciting use of fabrics such as denim, cotton, and knit, will undoubtedly create new and fun trends for this year. We can’t wait to see how high he flies with his new position at Chanel.

Hodakova

Hodakova – a brand based in Stockholm and founded by Swedish designer Ellen Hodakova. This brand is set to turn heads with its imaginative and technical looks. She draws inspiration from her rural upbringing, and creates designs that merge the emotional and logical. She was the first Swede to win the prestigious LVMH prize.

Renaissance Renaissance

Renaissance Renaissance – A Lebanese designer creating personal and emotional looks that draw on her heritage. From designing costumes for films like the remake of Bonjour Tristesse, to playing with fabrics and colors to create light, free looks, (she used a parachute as inspiration for a collection) we’ve got our sharpest eye on this designer brand and what it will become.

Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha – an Irish designer creating more feminine, coquettish yet melancholic looks. From homages to late queens such as Elizabeth I in the form of embellishments, through to pastel-coloured dresses exhibiting a sense of romanticism and elegance, this designer was a finalist for the LVMH prize, and she has found fans in celebrities such as Rihanna and Keira Knightly. All in all, she’s one to keep on your radar.
