Nensi Dojaka's intricate lingerie-inspired designs steal the show.
Albanian designer Nensi Dojaka is the winner of the 2021 LVMH prize for young fashion designers. With 1,900 applicants as her competition, winning the $355,260 award is no small feat.
The award ceremony featured french actress Isabelle Huppert, who presented the award to Dojaka. An illustrious cast of prize jury members was also present, including Virgil Abloh, Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Dior men's artistic director Kim Jones and Loewe artistic director Jonathan Anderson.
The designer first launched her label in 2017 while studying at Central Saint Martians in London. Known as one of the world's top fashion schools, Dojaka received her bachelor's and master's degrees at the renowned University.
Although Nensi Dojaka's name might not ring a bell, you've undoubtedly seen her designs worn by a handful of celebs on the red carpet. Dojaka's delicate, sensuous, gauze-like mesh pieces have been worn by Bella Hadid, Lady Gaga, Emrata, and Keke Palmer.
Tune in on September 17th for Dojaka's first-ever fashion show at London Fashion Week.
