Julia Fox’s Newly Bleached Brows Give Her “A False Sense Of Anonymity”

Julia Fox is not one to shy away from the unconventional. Her penchant for full-latex ensembles and shopping in her underwear has never failed to send social media into a spin. Not to mention, the gloriously unhinged graphic eyeliner tutorial that cemented Fox’s A-list status post-Kanye. The next daring move up her sleeve? Bleached eyebrows.
On Monday, the Uncut Gems star took to Instagram to show off her freshly blonde arches. “Major shout out to my mother queen @patmcgrathreal for these brows!!!” she wrote. This isn’t the first time Fox has joined forces with the renowned makeup artist – it was McGrath who brought her now-signature smokey eye to life.
Fox went on to reveal how the newfangled look has brought her under the radar: “Since I bleached the brow I get stopped on the street way less and even tho I fkin love u guys I’m enjoying this false sense of anonymity.” Considering her outfit of choice, it’s hard to believe that she could go unnoticed. Fox paired her near-invisible brows with an oversized leather coat by Paul Benzing, a piece that demands attention.
It seems we’re witnessing a trend in the making. Earlier this year, Gigi and Bella Hadid bleached their eyebrows during Milan Fashion Week. In a similar vein, Kendall Jenner and Maisie Williams went browless for the 2022 Met Gala. Perhaps Fox’s recent iteration seals the deal on the risqué, yet coveted trend.
