Grammy Awards Nominations Announced
Including Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion.
The Recording Academy has announced the full list of nominations in 83 categories for the 63rd GRAMMY Awards Ceremony, airing on January 31. It is not certain who and, most importantly, how will perform at the gala. Trevor Noah has been confirmed as a host though.
Dua Lipa and Taylor Swift are on top of the list, with nominations in six categories, including Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. Dua’s ‘Future Nostalgia’ has also been nominated as Record Of The Year.
But she is not the sole queen since Brittany Howard shares the same number of nominations, in the more alternative categories, for example, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, Best Alternative Music Album or Best R&B Performance. Beyoncé takes over even more nominations in diverse categories, which include not only Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year, but also, best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song and Best Music Video.
Megan Thee Stallion proves to be the rising star since she’s nominated as Best New Artist, Record Of The Year, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. There are also a few nominations for Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Doja Cat, Justin Bieber and Post Malone.
