Good News! Megan Thee Stallion Drops Long Awaited Debut Album
It’s savage season, baby.
It’s always a good day when Megan Thee Stallion drops new music, and finally we have the debut album we’ve been waiting for. Off the back of previous EP’s Make it Hot, Tina Snow and Suga, and mixtape, Fever, our fave hot girl continues to pack a punch with her killer flow and incendiary lyricism on Good News.
The album’s title is taken from Megan’s ethos, that in the midst of everything negative going on in the world, we all have the ability to make and become our own good news. Whilst this year has come with undeniable ups and downs for Megan, the announcement of the album follows some seriously impressive achievements, with five BET Awards, including Hip Hop Artist Of The Year as well as an MTV VMA Award for ‘Savage’ and an honor by TIME in the TIME100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Having dominated the charts since dropping the infectious Hot Girl Summer in 2019, and continuing her reign with 2020’s Savage (inspiring the TikTok dance of the summer) the rap game has undoubtedly belonged to Megan. On Good News she shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon, (understandably) putting rapper Tory Lanez on blast on the opening track whilst sampling Biggie Smalls “Who Shot Ya” and packing the tape with guest spots from the likes of SZA, DaBaby, City Girls, Young Thug, Big Sean and Two Chainz, plus the iconic Savage remix featuring bars from Beyonce.
Whilst we’re waiting for the day we’re able to assemble our fellow Hotties and enjoy the tracks in the club, we’re pretty sure savage season is here to stay for a longer time yet.
