As the start of school looms near and Fashion Month inches closer, the smell of pumpkin spice and fall leaves is starting to dance in the collective mind of the internet, and with that, the fashion girls are beginning to itch for Fall trends. The trends for this fall might have debuted during the Fashion Month of February, but at that time we were all much more excited for the heat of the summer months ahead of us. Now as the cool breeze hits us, it’s time to slow down and look into the trends it might be hard to live without.

The beautiful thing about these five trends we’ve pulled is that they don’t have to be quick fads that then fade away, nor do they have to be something that suits just one group of people. With many fashion trends on this list, the focus is on the accessories, details, and colors that can be incorporated into any niche style category you find yourself gravitating towards. Below are the trends that you’ll see everywhere–that can easily be styled to fit any aesthetic.

1. Oversize it

Oversized coats are one of those things that are about as traditional to the fall season as apple picking with your boo. It doesn’t matter the weather you live in or the style you wear, swaddling yourself in an oversized coat is a true testament to your fashion sense. Designers this season saw it as even more important to embrace the oversized look and must have begged warehouses for more fabric when creating collections. From Victoria Beckham’s double lapel pea coats to Loewe embracing Victorian fashion in swallowtail coats, there’s a little something in this trend for everyone.

2. Feather craze (continued)

Wild embraces of chaotic feathers is no new news. Designers have embraced it for the past few seasons and whether it’s related or not, the trend airs on the side of Bridgerton-core. While flouncy feathers were once an indication of social status, these embellishments have now taken over the mainstream. Tory Burch embraced the idea of feathered coats and at Brunello Cucinelli they peeked out beneath sweaters. The lovely thing about this embellishment is that the color of the feather really can transition it to any style. Goth-core? Try black feathers. Falling into a trad-wife phase? White and pink exist!

3. Green-eyed Monster

Color trends come and go. The obsession with Barbie pink has now died away and last Fall's ‘it-color’ of a vibrant cherry red has been banished till it returns for another season. In the place of these once-popular colors comes a green straight out of the ‘70s. Limey and vibrant, it graced the coats at Gucci, and at Saint Laurent, it appeared as the color backdrop of the whole show.

4. Sheer Drama

The sheer trend is still running rampant across runways and this season is no different. At Saint Laurent, in particular, it’s almost impossible to talk about the Fall collection without mentioning the word ‘sheer.’ They weren’t the only fashion house to embrace this ongoing trend though, plenty of skin was barred with only a sheer cover at Gucci and Fendi as well. The beautiful thing about this fashion trend is that it’s easily adapted to many styles.

5. Heavy on the accessories

Instead of designers focusing on exaggerated clothes this season, they went heavy on embracing accessories of all kinds and styles. This doesn’t just mean a basic belt or a great bag. There were many avant-garde jewelry options, hats, and even gloves at nearly every large brand in the fashion capitals we all stalk for trends. If you’re in the mood to go classic, play with the pillbox hat look from Altuzarra, Prada, and Saint Laurent. A little edgier? Try the snake belts, brooches, and even neckties made of hair (Grossed out? Take it up with Daniel Roseberry at Schiaparelli!)
