Accessories for Your Bag are the Internet's Latest Obsession

I remember the old days when a bag's purpose was for keeping things inside of it, now it seems everyone keeps their belongings hanging from the outside of it.

Okay, maybe not everything, but bag charms and accessories are definitely having their moment.

The internet's latest obsession appears to be decorating and personalizing their everyday bag. To be honest, I get the hype! Everything from chains and charms to ribbons and badges is all over everyone's handbags - super cute, personal touches that let a bit of your personality shine through in your style.

When I was reading the August edition of British Vogue, I came across a whole spread dedicated to keychains and accessories for your bags. If Vogue says it's a thing - then it's a thing!

I jumped on this trend immediately! I've jazzed up my everyday bag, my black Longchamp Le Pliage, with some keychains and pink ribbon, so now it really looks like me. My personal favorite addition is my Jellycat keychain. I think they’re absolutely adorable, and it makes my inner child very happy to carry her with me everywhere.

The best thing about this trend for me has to be the versatility. It really is one for everyone. If you don’t feel like buying accessories, you’ve surely got some old pieces of ribbon or keychains hanging around somewhere. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy, just a whimsical flair to let your personality shine through.

I also love seeing everyone's creativity shine through. All the different combinations of colors and textures make this trend so interesting and personal. I think this one will stick around - no one will get tired of what makes them happy!
