Not Just The Devil Wears Prada: The Most Fashionable 2026 Movie Releases
Make sure to add these to your watchlist.
2026 is going to be a standout year for cinema, and I can already feel it. Unlike the past few years, it’s packed with long-awaited and high-profile releases. Just think about it: new installments of Avengers, Spider-Man, Dune, and Toy Story, alongside titles like Odyssey and Moana, plus new seasons of fan-favorite series, such as The House of The Dragon, Euphoria, The Witcher… The list could go on.
But today, I want to focus on the projects set to deliver the most memorable style moments. If I’m being honest, I’m just as excited for the visual inspiration as I am for the plots. So, if you thought the sequel of The Devil Wears Prada—which, by the way, comes out on May 1—was the only movie worth anticipating, here are a few more to add to your watchlist.
Mother Mary (April 17)

Anne Hathaway is fully claiming 2026, and I’m here for it! In this psychological, fashion-forward thriller, she plays a pop star named Mary, who’s going through a mental crisis just as she prepares for a comeback. A central part of the story revolves around her intense relationship with her former costume designer as they attempt to create the perfect look for the return.
I Love Boosters (May 22)

This satirical comedy follows a group of shoplifters, aka boosters, who one day target a major fashion house as a form of protest. Each member of the crew has a strong artistic identity and rejects fast fashion in favor of more individual, handcrafted style. And their wardrobes, full of eclectic, expressive, and slightly quirky looks, feel like the cherry on top of the plot.
Elle (July 1)

Well, it’s technically a TV show, but I couldn’t possibly leave it out, because Elle Woods has been the ultimate fashion icon ever since the early 2000s. The prequel explores Elle’s high school years before entering Harvard. There is little visual material available so far, but I’m sure that Woods is going to serve the best Y2K fashion. In her signature pink color, obviously.
Sense and Sensibility (October 16)

If you love period drama aesthetics, this one’s for you. The new adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel is promised to become just as good as its predecessor. It follows the Dashwood sisters as they navigate a sudden change in their lives, dealing with love, heartbreak, and social expectations. Even having read the book and seen the 1995 version, I’m still looking forward to this one, especially for the fascinating sceneries and Regency-era costumes.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (November 20)

The Hunger Games is the most fashionable dystopian franchise, all thanks to the Capitol Couture, which may feel too peculiar for our world but remains truly unforgettable. In the new part we’re going to follow Haymitch Abernathy during the 50th Games. It’s especially interesting to explore this in-between period: before the main trilogy and after the first prequel when the Games hadn’t yet become the grand spectacle and people used to dress more modestly. I’m particularly looking forward to seeing young Effie Trinket, whose style is the most memorable in the series.
And while you’re waiting for your most anticipated releases, why not do a little shopping and dress like the main character of your own film? My Fizzypicks are here to help.
