Anne Hathaway? At New York Fashion Week? Groundbreaking. The actress gave the world a major “The Devil Wears Prada” moment after sitting next to the most powerful woman in fashion, Miranda Priestly—sorry, I mean Anna Wintour. The actress attended the Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2023 show in a dark brown coat, black turtleneck dress, black heels and completed the look with a ponytail and bangs. The outfit was extremely reminiscent of Andy Sach’s transformation scene where she seemingly wore nearly the same outfit.
It was not just Hathaway’s outfit that sparked conversation, but the fact that she was seated next to Anna Wintour—the woman who Miranda Priestly is based after. Of course in this situation Hathaway is just another exclusive VIP attendee and not an impressionable assistant. Wintour was donned in a black and white floral maxi dress paired with her signature bob and sunglasses. Maybe this is a sign that there needs to be a “Devil Wears Prada 2” in the works.
