Chet Lo is an Asian American designer and 2020 graduate of Central Saint Martins. Hailing from New York City, Lo first came to London in 2015. It was during this time Lo became interested in the innovation of knitwear and textiles. Before debuting his graduate collection “Cindiaria’s Wife’ the designer interned at Proenza Schouler and Maison Margiela under John Galliano. Since graduating, Lo has joined the roster of young talented designers at Fashion East to show his work at London Fashion Week.

Chosen under the Art & Culture category in the Europe region of the Forbes 30 under 30 list, the designer took to Instagram (where else?) to share his joy, saying that “it’s so beautiful to be acknowledged as both a creative and a business owner”. Many big names such as Dua Lipa, Michaela Cole and Chloe Cherry have adorned Lo’s clothes and his spiky knitwear designs even appeared in Doja Cat and SZA’s ‘Kiss Me More’ music video.

Other standouts honored in the Art & Culture category include Barbara Potts and Cathrine Saks of Saks Potts and Alissa Aulbekova and Paula Sello of AUROBOROS. You can see the full list here.

Chet Lo’s designs are available to shop at ssense and Selfridges.
