POSTED BY ZOE TYLER

The high-stakes world of luxury just got a major refresh. In a move that signals a bold new chapter for the Roman jewelry giant, LVMH has officially named Laura Burdese as the next CEO of BULGARI.

As the house continues to dominate our social feeds and red carpets with its high-octane sparkle, here is everything you need to know about the power shift happening at the top of the Italian maison.

Laura Burdese: From Deputy to CEO

Laura Burdese is no stranger to the inner workings of the BULGARI universe. Currently serving as the Deputy CEO, Burdese has been instrumental in the brand’s recent glow-up, overseeing everything from fine jewelry and timepieces to leather goods and perfumes. Her ascent to the top spot on July 1, 2026, is the culmination of a decade-long career within the LVMH portfolio, including a successful stint as the head of Acqua di Parma.

Known for her sharp marketing instincts, Burdese has worked closely with the brand's iconic ambassadors like Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and BLACKPINK’s Lisa, ensuring BULGARI remains the ultimate status symbol for a new generation of luxury lovers.

The Legacy and Evolution of Jean-Christophe Babin

After 12 years of steering the ship, Jean-Christophe Babin is stepping into a new, multi-faceted role. Since 2013, Babin has transformed BULGARI into a watchmaking powerhouse (hello, Octo Finissimo world records) and expanded the brand’s footprint with the world’s largest jewelry manufacturing facility in Valenza.

While he hands over the CEO keys to Burdese, Babin isn't going far. He will transition to Chairman of the Board, while also taking the lead as CEO of BULGARI Hotels & Resorts and President of the BULGARI Foundation. This "smooth handover" ensures that the brand’s core DNA remains intact while Burdese injects fresh energy into the maison’s global strategy.
