It’s Charli Baby
Charli xcx is the face of jw anderson’s new bumper bag campaign.
Only last week we were reporting on Charli XCX teaming up with Depop and she’s already making fashion headlines again, this time as the face of JW Anderson’s latest campaign for the ‘Bumper Bag’. The vibrant playful images were captured by photographer Conor Cunningham. The images are edited to create illusions that the bags are gigantic and tiny with Charli balancing atop the bag like she’s surfing in one particular image.
The ‘Bumper Bag’ first debuted in the Spring/Summer 2022 collection, inspired by cushioned travel pillows and made out of neoprene tubing the bag is unlike anything else on the market right now. For the Pre-Fall 2022 collection, the bag has been reimagined in a Polly Pocket style bubble-gum pink and blue, clashing colorways of lilac and toffee and a vibrant red and glossy black.
The bag comes in two silhouettes the ‘Bumper’ and the ‘Bumper Moon’, with the latter being a more rounded shape. Made from an ultra-high shine glossy calf leather and nappa leather lining the bag is designed to last and has already been pictured being worn by the likes of Dua Lipa. With the playful design only costing between $650 and $790 it won’t be a surprise if we start to see this bag everywhere. Looks like Telfar and Luar have competition for the it-bag of the year.
