Dior Cruise 2025 Show: A Scottish Odyssey at Drummond Castle

A fusion of French chic and Scottish heritage.

Renowned for its consistent excellence in fashion, the Dior Cruise 2025 show is scheduled to take place in the gardens of Drummond Castle situated in Scotland on the 3rd of June this year.

An iconic historical setting

Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative force behind Dior's women's designs, is anticipated to highlight local customs and engage with regional artists and artisans, continuing her approach of revitalizing Dior's Cruise shows with cultural richness.

The choice of Drummond Castle as the venue adds a layer of historical and architectural significance, providing the perfect backdrop for the unveiling of the cruise collection.

Blending today's fashion with centuries of history

Drummond Castle is known for its terraced gardens, with its estate featuring a lower house dating back to the late 15th century and a 17th-century mansion, both reconstructed during the Victorian era.

Embracing a fresh approach, the LVMH-owned luxury brand invites viewers on a poetic journey, merging elements of the past and future, echoing the enduring legacy of the House since its inception with the autumn-winter 1947 show.

A Scottish legacy of the French house

Dior reminisced about its historical connections with Scotland, including a ball held at the Gleneagles Hotel for its spring 1955 collection, inspired by the Scottish landscape in Christian Dior's debut 1947 collection named Écosse.

The upcoming collection promises to intertwine themes of travel and culture, paying homage to the beauty of heritage and tradition.

Embracing local artisans and craftsmen

Under the stewardship of Chiuri, Dior has earned acclaim for its collaborations with local artisans and craftsmen on its annual cruise collections, with recent destinations including Mexico City, Seville, and Athens.

Dior follows in the footsteps of other fashion icons who have chosen Scotland as a backdrop for their runway showcases, including Karl Lagerfeld's Métiers d’Art show at Linlithgow Castle outside Edinburgh in 2012.
