Demi Lovato Flaunts A New Fine-Line Spider Tattoo
With the help of Doctor Woo, the singer expands their spider tattoo collection.
Demi Lovato isn’t afraid to get inked on the regular. In January, they brazenly revealed a spider tattoo on their freshly shaved head. Just two months ago, they inked “fear” and “love” on the opposite ends of their collarbone. The latest addition to their collection of over 25 designs? Yet another spider dangling on a large web across their shoulder.

On Monday, Lovato took to Instagram to show off a clip of the new inking. They tagged single needle tattoo artist Doctor Woo, whose A-list clientele includes the likes of Cara Delevingne, Miley Cyrus, and Zöe Kravitz. Woo, true to form, produced a fine line, monochrome, and delicately shaded tattoo for Lovato.
Alongside the post, the singer wrote, “A spider you can see now” – a reference to the first spider they had tattooed on their shaved scalp earlier this year. The piece supposedly pays homage to the Cherokee folktale, "Grandmother Brings The Light," which ends with the grandmother spider saving her community from total darkness. Lovato’s grown-out hair now hides the tattoo, but it’s likely that their new ink draws from the same tale.
They went on to share an up-close-and-personal look at Doctor Woo’s intricate process on TikTok. Lovato’s background song of choice was "Spiderwebs," written by lead vocalist Gwen Stafani in her No Doubt days. One user commented, “If this is a No Doubt themed tattoo…I’m going to love you that much more.” Another wrote, “SONG CHOICE ICONIC!!!!!”
Regardless of the inspiration behind the piece, Lovato has clearly cemented her avidity for tattoos…and spiders.
