Oversized bags, fur slippers and palazzo pants - what more could you want?
Balmain has us craving for those lazy summer days in their newest Resort Collection.
Creative director, Oliver Rousteing pays homage to the french fashion house founder, Pierre Balmain. Recently celebrated was the founders 75th anniversary of Pierre's debut presentation and his "New French Style", which Oliver payed homage to in the Resort 2022 Collection.
Featuring 60 looks, the collection sports a range of boho, unisex fits - bringing cohesion by carrying colors, patterns and silhouettes in various forms.
A mix of relaxed and structured silhouettes feature throughout in a multitude of fabric and prints.
Mix and matching colors, neutral-toned fits feature pops of color such as red, cobalt blue, sunset orange, coral pink and camel.
Prints are not forgotten as the collection includes tapestry-like sets as well as geometric prints, stripes and patchwork denim.
Preparing us for all types of weather this summer, the collection features denim, leather, silk and gauze alongside fringe, fur and jewel details.
Included within the collection are floor-length coats, blazers, palazzo pants and denim jackets.
Standout pieces include an embellished dress of blue and silver tones (also available in jumpsuit, skirt and gilet form), a staple leather blazer, a cropped tuxedo blazer and oversized hobo bags with fringing.
Meticulously placed details enhance the pieces; statement pockets are featured as well as ruched and draping silhouettes, chunky chains and engulfed fur slippers (cruelty-free).
