Timberland's Iconic Campaign
Icons bare it all.
Timberland has just launched its new “ICONIC” campaign for Fall/Winter 2024, featuring a striking lineup of influential figures who bare it all—except for the brand's famous six-inch boots. The campaign stars supermodel Naomi Campbell, along with Kai-Isaiah Jamal, artist Slawn, and musician Teddy Swims, in a black-and-white shoot that puts the iconic boots front and center like never before.
With themes of empowerment, self-expression, and fearlessness, the campaign captures these icons wearing nothing but Timberland boots, emphasizing authenticity and individuality. The shoot was led by photographer Jamie Morgan, who first captured Naomi Campbell as a young model back in 1984. Morgan’s aim with this campaign was to highlight the genuine legacy and originality that Timberland represents.
“The word ‘iconic’ is over-used these days and can only be truly earned over a long period of time. Timberland boots have earned that status. They’ve been adopted by so many different subcultures over the years and are still at the forefront of fashion style, so yeah, definitely iconic,” says Morgan.
British-Nigerian designer and artist Slawn shared his appreciation for the brand, saying, “This boot is classic. Sexy. Very me. I’ve got like six pairs.” Fellow campaign star Kai-Isaiah Jamal added, “For me, iconic is things that have legacy, history, and cultural footprints. Ultimately the story behind Timberland and the way in which culture was embraced and has birthed from it a new culture… for me that is deeply iconic.”
With a focus on legacy and cultural significance, Timberland’s "ICONIC" campaign celebrates the timeless impact of its signature boots while continuing to push boundaries in the fashion world.
