Peep Details Of ‘The Supermodels’ Docuseries Featuring Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford
The supers are set to take us back to the golden era of the runway in the Apple TV+ series.
Apple TV+ have announced the upcoming release of a new documentary series: The Supermodels. Starring the runway icons of the 1990s, the series takes an inside look at the rise of four of the original supers: Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista. Featuring interviews, along with plenty of unforgettable fashion moments, the docuseries promises to reveal an intimate look into what it was like to be the most famous, beautiful and well-dressed women in the world.
With no official release date as of yet, Campbell, Crawford, Evangelista and Turlington have all taken to Instagram to share the news of the project, of which they are executive producers. Each sharing the same image of the era-defining moment in which they strutted arm-in-arm down the Versace AW91 runway, lip-synching to George Michael’s “Freedom! ’90.”
Behind the cameras are Academy Award winning director Barbara Kopple alongside producer Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Documentaries. While details are scarce for now, the sentiment behind the series is heartfelt, as Turlington shared alongside her Instagram photo, “I am looking forward to looking back on this unprecedented time in fashion with these incredible women whom I have grown up with.”
