The Spring Jackets I’m Actually Excited To Wear
Lightweight layers that act more like accessories than outerwear.
I’m not a jacket girl. I’ve never had to be. From living in Southern California all my life to moving to New Orleans for college, my necessity for a winter coat is nonexistent. But after studying abroad in Italy this past semester, I had to up my jacket game because a sweater and pants just didn’t cut it in that weather.
Whether the temperature calls for it or not, I now understand that a jacket is a necessity, the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. So, rather than shopping for coats to keep me warm, I’ve been on the lookout for jackets so light that they are basically an accessory.

I’m thinking fun bombers, casual windbreakers, and suede to replace stark leather for the spring. Whether it's a light blazer at night, the reemerging funnel-neck jackets, or a multicolor outerwear layer, these coats are at the top of my spring to-buy list.
As someone who owns fewer than a couple light-weight jackets, I am overly excited to add to my wardrobe repertoire.
