The Official 'Spiderman: No Way Home' Trailer was Just Released

Marvel tease the return of fan villain favourites Doctor Ock, Electro and the Green Goblin.

Tom Holland’s third appearance as the teenage hero in his stand-alone adventures looks to be an action packed, chaotic storyline featuring the return of Marvel fan’s favourite villains. The three-minute trailer shows fellow castmates Zendaya as M.J., Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May.

Based on the video, the audience assumes that Peter Parker is faced with the aftermath of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) revealing his identity to the world at the end of Far From Home. Anonymity is perhaps one of Spiderman’s greatest super-powers, and Peter can be seen wrestling to accept his new reality so unsuccessfully that he turns to fellow Avenger Doctor Strange, imploring him to erase his new present and make the world forget his superhuman identity.

After a stern warning from fellow sorcerer Wong (Clyde Kusatsu) that such a spell is too dangerous, Peter distracts Strange whilst he attempts to cast the spell, which results in a calamity that alters the very fabric of space and time. It looks as though this results in Peter facing returning enemies: Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), Electro (Jamie Foxx) and potentially Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) who is subtly hinted at with a shot of a green bomb and his signature cackle.

Spiderman: No Way Home is set to hit cinemas December 17th. Catch the full trailer above.
