Starbucks US To Launch New Breakfast Sandwich
Featuring Impossible vegan sausage.
Starbucks US has announced that it will be collaborating with California-based brand Impossible Foods to launch a new breakfast sandwich for plant-based and flexitarian customers. The meatless sandwich will be part of Starbucks’s new summer menu and will include a cage-free fried egg, aged cheddar cheese, and a vegan sausage from Impossible Foods, placed in ciabatta bread.
The launch is in response to customers’ growing interest in plant-based, more sustainable options. “Over the years, in response to customer interest, we have added plant-based milk alternatives such as soy, coconut, almond, and oat milk. We are thrilled to expand our plant-based menu into food with this new breakfast sandwich,” said Michael Kobori, Chief Sustainability Officer at Starbucks.
Starbucks’s Impossible Breakfast Sandwich will launch in the United States on July 2.
