Ribbons And Other Go-To Hair Accessories

The blessing of having long hair is having endless potential to adorn it in fun ways. If I'm going to wear whimsical outfits, there's no better way to complete the look than with a cute hair accessory.

My ride-or-die will forever be ribbons. I love their femininity and how they can effortlessly elevate a minidress look. I have a particular love for white or pale ribbons, as they really pop against my dark hair.

I also love the versatility factor. You can weave ribbons into your braids or simply tie them into a bow at the back of your head. I've come to realise that other hair accessories are more wearable than I thought too. Take a claw clip, for instance: you could use it for a half-up, half-down hairstyle or to hold up all of your hair. A hair clip can be worn alone or alongside many others to create a fun, cluttered effect.

I may be a hair ribbon loyalist, but I'm slowly edging my way out of my comfort zone. Yesterday, I wore multiple star hair clips and even attached one to my bag. I was reminded that anything can be versatile if you're creative enough.
