2025 Re-Nylon Prada Collection.

POSTED BY LIDIIA TRETIAKOVA

Prada and National Geographic CreativeWorks have joined forces to draw attention to issues of sustainability and environmental responsibility through the Prada Re-Nylon campaign. This project highlights the importance of recycling materials and rethinking their use. At the heart of the collection lies Econyl® nylon, crafted from ocean plastic and textile waste, exemplifying an innovative approach to production.

The collaboration is accompanied by a series of documentary films that explore ecological challenges across the globe. The first movie On Arctic Tides takes viewers to the Lofoten Archipelago in Norway, where Benedict Cumberbatch discusses the scale of plastic pollution in the Arctic. The second episode delves into Indonesia’s unique underwater ecosystems, focusing on the issues of overfishing and marine pollution. The third episode shifts to Tokyo, a bustling metropolis where the topic of material recycling gains a new perspective in the face of urbanization. Here, the idea of adapting fashion to modern challenges through sustainable technologies comes to life.

While the specific titles and release dates of the last two films have not been mentioned in the available sources, they are expected to be available on Prada's official platforms upon release.

The Prada Re-Nylon collection combines minimalism and functionality with high-end aesthetics. Each piece is not just a wardrobe item but a statement on the importance of ecological awareness. Sleek coats with oversized pockets, versatile jackets, backpacks, and bags with the iconic triangular logo, as well as practical, durable accessories, form the core of the collection.

The color palette reflects a connection to nature, with black and white blending harmoniously with deep shades of blue and green. The design evokes a sense of balance with the environment, emphasizing that fashion can be both sophisticated and sustainable.

This project showcases how creative thinking and modern technology can transform the industry, offering solutions that impact not just style but also our understanding of responsibility toward the planet.
