New terrifying details about Pop Smoke’s death have been revealed minutes before midnight today. The Brooklyn rapper, dead at 20, was shot and then kicked on the ground in Los Angeles after armed thieves entered an Airbnb house, rented by the star at that time.

According to an LAPD detective, Pop Smoke, real name Bashar Barakah Jackson, was taking a shower at the Hollywood Hills residency when four masked men ‘stormed through the curtains of a second-story balcony’ around 4 am, confronting the rapper and an unidentified woman who was also at the scene. The LA detective Christian Carrasco, whose report was based on the involved woman’s testimony, informed the intruders rushed into the bathroom while one of them pointed a black semiautomatic gun to the women’s forehead, shouting “Shut the f--k up. Do you want to die?”.

“She heard a struggle coming from the shower area and heard Mr. Jackson screaming. Mr. Jackson ran out of the bathroom and then she heard a loud pop and [heard] Mr. Jackson fall to the ground," Carrasco reported and added the women also witnessed the two others to ‘kick him’ right after.

“Mr. Jackson gets up and runs downstairs. She hears two more pops,” said Carrasco, “She follows Mr. Jackson, sees him on the ground and screams for Michael (Durodola) to call 911.” Durodola, who is an actor from Brooklyn, was also present during the invasion.
Accordingly, the killers managed to steal a "large gold watch" and other jewelry before they escaped.

Carrasco revealed the latest information this Thursday during the stand in a preliminary hearing for one of the suspects, Corey Walker. The 20-year-old has been charged with a murder of the Canarsie-born rapper and a robbery in July last summer.
After the invasion, Pop Smoke was transported to LA’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where it is reported the doctors performed the left thoracotomy but sadly, the rap star succumbed to his deadly injuries a few hours later.

Pop Smoke was among rising American rap stars and considered as a face of Brooklyn drill. Despite his short 2-year career, he had a huge impact on the scene while working with names such as Quavo, Travis Scott and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. Having a tour ahead of him, he died less than two weeks after the release of his second debut album ‘Meet the Woo 2', which earned the first top-10 spot on Billboard in the same week of his death.
