London-based brand Oceanus has collaborated with Playboy for a colorful swimsuit collection. The 31-piece line incorporates classic Playboy glamour into the confident attitude of 1980s styles. Together, the brands have produced a feminine dream with the collection’s pieces shaded in pastels and cut in flattering shapes.
The iconic Playboy bunny logo subtly shows up in the swimsuits’ prints. One print forms the bunny into a triangular pattern, seen on a bikini, a one-piece, and a cover-up dress. Another print places the bunny alongside aquatic animals, seen in lilac, peach, or yellow colors in a matching bikini and wrap-skirt set. Other patterns lean into a casino theme, with the bunny centered on carton card decks.
Clothing and jewelry complete the collaborative collection. ‘80s-style high-waist shorts and matching bandeau tops are made with stretch velvet material and embellished with golden Playboy bunnies. Oversized t-shirts place both logos above and below vintage graphics. Jewel earrings, a charm bracelet, and a lock necklace mix pink and gold Playboy bunnies.
The Playboy X Oceanus campaign plays with campy 1960s styling, with the models sporting beehives and snacking on ice cream. Hannah Attalah, the founder of Oceanus, poses while pregnant to promote female empowerment and representation.
