Off-White’s Ventures Into Beauty With Its New Brand, “Paperwork”

Everything you need to know about the genderless cosmetic and fragrance collection.

POSTED BY TANIA ARENAS

After breaking boundaries through sartorial innovation, who better to disrupt a commercially gendered beauty landscape than Off-White? Riffing on Virgil Abloh’s creative blueprint, the brand debuts an epicene beauty line, Paperwork.

True to Abloh’s subversive vision, Paperwork is an assemblage of industrial-luxury cosmetic and fragrance products. Abloh described the line-up as “another canvas, another surface for human expression” before his untimely passing last year. With each product posed as a blank slate, we’re encouraged to approach beauty according to how we feel, rather than how we’re expected to present ourselves. Think of it as a customizable “tool kit” for boundless self-expression.

The forerunner of the Paperwork collection is Olfactive ID, a quartet of fragrances simply named Solutions. Some are zesty, some are delicately floral, all are nameless. The signature scents are joined by Imprint, a set of six pigmented body crayons, and their counterparts of Template stencils. Color Matter is the last of the pack, featuring six nail varnishes that center on innovative formulas, such as a self-cracking finish.
