Doja Cat Just Bit Into Beauty At The VMAs

M·A·C gets it's new muse.

POSTED BY WAN B

Doja Cat has officially snatched the crown as M·A·C Cosmetics’ new Global Ambassador, and her red carpet stunt at the 2025 VMAs set the tone. While most stars stuck to their glam poses, Doja rolled up, pulled out her lipstick in Lady Danger, and bit straight into it. Plot twist: it was chocolate, crafted by pastry god Amaury Guichon. Performance art, camp, and branding all in one delicious bite.

The VMA Stage as a Playground

She didn’t stop at snacks—Doja cracked open the VMAs with the live debut of “Jealous Type,” proving once again she owns both stage and spectacle. Later, she picked up a Best K-Pop win alongside LISA and RAYE for “Born Again.” But the bigger story was her new era with M·A·C, teased right there on one of music’s wildest nights.

Doja Speaks on the Collab

“I’ve been a M·A·C girl forever, and now I get to take that love to the global stage,” Doja said. “Makeup is my paint, my armor, my way of creating characters.” Translation: this isn’t a collab, it’s a playground. Expect high-drama campaigns, unexpected twists, and boundary-pushing glam that feels as chaotic and iconic as Doja herself.

What’s Next

For Nicola Formichetti, M·A·C’s Global Creative Director, this move is exactly the disruption the beauty space needs. “Doja has a fearless energy that’s so authentically M·A·C,” he said. Together, they’re not just selling lipsticks—they’re rewriting how beauty hits culture. The VMAs were just the appetizer. The main course is coming, and it’s going to be loud, glossy, and unforgettable.
