Louise Trotter Is the New Creative Director of Bottega Veneta
She's taking over Bottega Veneta, and we're excited!
56-year-old fashion designer Louise Trotter has made the leap to high-end designer brand Bottega Veneta as their new creative director. She has replaced Matthieu Blazy, the man who had been the director of the brand for three years and made an announcement to leave the house at the end of last year. He is now set to join the team at Chanel instead.
Trotter is a designer at Carven, a French designer brand specializing in luxurious garments for women, who have yet to name her successor. But even so, she is now bringing her unique flair and eye for style to Bottega Veneta for the foreseeable future. We are all very excited to see what she’ll do.
Trotter will become the only female director among the designers at Kering (the group that owns Bottega Veneta, amongst other brands such as Gucci and Balenciaga.) Due to her exquisitely classy and sophisticated style, blending both high-end elegance with traditional values, the British-born designer knows how to create timeless and detailed pieces worth the wear. Her staples range from gender-neutral silhouettes on oversized coats and other outwear, to more feminine styles like silk satin boots, frayed necklaces, pastel colors, and a range of fabrics on gowns, skirts, and blouses. She has also become a staple designer for celebrities such as Rihanna, Jacob Elordi, and Zendaya.
Now that she’s officially a part of the Bottega Veneta team, we are wondering what she’ll do next in order to further enhance the brand’s image. The brand itself isn’t worried though. The chief executive of Bottega Veneta said that her values and ideas align with those of their brand vision, deffo making her a perfect fit for them. We’re sure she’ll do wonderfully and feel right at home at Bottega Veneta.
