Lirika Matoshi's Strawberry Dress Returns: A Softer Twist On The Cottage Core Icon

The strawberry dress, designed by Lirika Matoshi, went viral in 2020 as the dress of the summer. It even had its own Vogue article. During 2020, as the world slowed down, Cottage Core took off and the strawberry dress slotted right in. If your algorithm was in the fashion sphere, it was impossible to scroll through TikTok or Instagram without seeing a clip of the strawberry-splashed pink tulle tea dress. To this day, if someone mentions a strawberry dress the mind instantly goes to the Lirika Matoshi creation.



Although the pink version of the dress is the one that went viral, Lirika Matoshi boasts an entire collection of fruit-themed dresses. Their fruit salad wardrobe consists of cherries, blueberries, bananas, lemon, and watermelon alongside their staple strawberry. 



Four years later, the brand that had cottage core girls in a chokehold has released a new version of their coveted dress. The newer version is softer in a way, made from white tulle decorated in baby pink strawberries.

Although the cottage-core phenomenon boosted the strawberry dress to new heights, Lirika Matoshi continues to shine with their head-turning fruit-themed dresses.
