If This Album Were A Wardrobe…

From the bohemian, carefree appeal of Rae’s album to the sultry gothic of Gaga, we tried to imagine.

From movies like ''Superman,'' ''Honey Don't,'' and ''Materialists'' to shows like ''Too Much'' and ''Overcompensating,'' it's safe to say that pop culture is thriving. In fact, now, singer Taylor Swift just announced her new album,'' The Life of a Showgirl,'' on her boyfriend’s podcast. Sabrina Carpenter’s ''Man’s Best Friend'' is launching on August 29, and Doja Cat’s ''Vie'' is coming out on September 26. Meanwhile, albums like Lorde's ''Virgin,'' Addison Rae's ''Addison,'' and Lady Gaga's ''Mayhem'' continue to be all the rage.

And with music comes fashion, too. From the bohemian, carefree appeal of Rae’s album to the sultry gothic of Gaga, Fizzy tries to reimagine some of the most popular albums right now as wardrobes. Be ready to be smitten.

Mayhem (Lady Gaga)

Mayhem by Lady Gaga exudes pure theatrics, fusing punk, seductiveness, and apocalyptic fantasy. Exaggerated shoulders, structured corsets, flowing capes, sculptural gowns, spiked chokers, platform boots, theatrical gloves, and headpieces are some of its staples — all maintaining its avant-garde appeal.

Addison (Addison Rae)

Capturing the essence of Addison Rae's style, Addison would be the go-to destination for a carefree, whimsical and very Britney in the 2000s dream. Picture low-rise jeans, baby tees, sun-soaked hues, pastel-shaded slip dresses, statement belts, and strappy heels. It's as if Serena van der Woodsen's style met Cher Horowitz's and Carrie Bradshaw's wardrobes.

Man’s Best Friend (Sabrina Carpenter)

Man's Best Friend would be the place where the femme fatale meets Old Hollywood allure and the flirty nature of Sabrina Carpenter. Staples would be figure-hugging dresses, V-necklines, tailored pencil skirts, and high-waisted trousers with a dramatic flair. Marilyn would approve.

Virgin (Lorde)

With its melodramatic tunes, Lorde's "Virgin" embodies normcore. Think neutral colors and everyday clothes that prioritize comfort and functionality. However, that doesn't mean it lacks style. It's just a simpler, more modest way of dressing that has, in fact, been attracting many amid the resurgence of sleek '90s fashion.

The Life of a Showgirl (Taylor Swift)

The Life of a Showgirl is pure glitz, sequins, feathers, and glamour—everything that defines show business. Expect feather boas, rhinestone-studded bodysuits, satin gloves, tall stilettos, silk slips, diamanté chokers, tiaras, and oversized faux fur coats.

Vie (Doja Cat)

Doja Cat’s ‘‘Vie’’ would blend fearlessness with romance, confidence, and sensuality. It's as if a mafioso were in love. Its looks would include blazers, pencil skirts, high-waisted pants, bold earrings, thigh-high boots, tailored tuxedo suits, flowing silk dresses, leopard fur coats, and lots of burgundy.
