Heron Preston Presents First NYFW Show

A bold new take on streetwear.

POSTED BY KASEY O'CONNELL

Heron Preston is based in New York City, but the brand hadn’t presented a show at New York Fashion Week until Fall/Winter 2023. After several successful shows in Paris, Heron Preston’s NYFW debut was highly anticipated, and it didn’t disappoint.

The co-ed streetwear collection featured everything from chainmail dresses to oversized hoodies to furry knee-high boots. The eclectic mix of pieces creates a playful and experimental look, one representative of New York’s unique fashion culture. Puffer jackets and fur coats are stylish yet practical for the city’s cold winters, while sheer jumpsuits and denim bustiers function as bolder statement pieces. The many cases of layering—dresses over pants, several layers of jackets, a chainmail top over a sweatshirt—add dimension to the looks and give casual pieces an added edge.
