Calling Gossip Girl Fans

POSTED BY ROWAN FOY

Hey Gossip Girl fans, Fizzy Mag here. We are about to tell you the greatest news of the year. Your favorite show is back.

TVLine revealed in February that the much-loved cult fave ‘Gossip Girl’ would be returning to our screens. Now, The Hollywood Reporter states, ‘WarnerMedia’s streaming service HBO Max has officially been given a 10-episode, straight to series order for an update of the series.’

The new series will be written by Joshua Safran, executive producer of the original series, so the show will be sure to have the classic ‘Gossip Girl’ flair. Creators Josh Schwarts and Stephanie Savage will also be involved in the reboot, it is reported.

Running from 2007-2012 the show propelled the likes of Leighton Meester and Blake Lively into the spotlight and finally we will get to see who and what ‘Gossip Gir’ is up to now with an ‘extension’ to the final series.

The information so far reads:

‘Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl. The prestige series will address just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years’.

Keep an eye out on our website for more news as it is revealed. But for now,

XOXO Fizzy Mag.
