Duck & Waffle

Known for its 24/7 service and eclectic play on British cuisine – The Duck & Waffle is a dining staple when you’re out and about in London. Located on the 40th floor of 110 Bishopsgate – the restaurant stretches across a 230m skyline, boasting stunning views of the London landscape.

This year, the iconic restaurant is going all-out with the Christmas festivities. Inspired by the long-loved childhood story, The Polar Express – the sky-high eatery has been transformed into a magical train station in the clouds. Exuding nostalgia – the Christmas revision of the Duck & Waffle pairs charming interiors with bold festive colours – guaranteed to make you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time, into a world of whimsical wonderment.

Standouts from the Christmas Day Menu include: a hearty celeriac and russet apple soup – not to mention the roast turkey main, which, of course, includes all the trimmings. Before you ask - yes, the potatoes are generously roasted in duck fat – could we expect anything less?

“Passengers” are welcome aboard this dreamlike dining experience from the 20th of November 2021, until January the 5th, 2022.

Winter Wonderland

We couldn’t talk about Christmas hot spots in London, without mentioning Winter Wonderland, right? Advertised as “the World’s best destination for festive fun” – it’s a prime tourist spot during the build up to Christmas.

This year, tickets must be booked in advanced to secure your place – but that doesn’t mean that there’s any scrimping on the festive fun once you arrive! From spectacular shows, thrilling rides, and magical Christmas markets – there are endless ways to make the most of your visit.

If you’re willing to brave the cold, step into their signature ice bar, and envision yourself at The Alps this Christmas. With striking sculptures and cool cocktails to match – this is a go-to Insta-worthy spot.

Or, if you’re looking for something more traditional – opt for the Bavarian Village. With its cozy chalets and warmly-lit tipis – Hyde Park is truly transformed, giving you a sense of Bavarian spirit amongst all the other festivities.

The iconic, member’s only club - located in Berkeley Square, is known for its over-the-top, extravagant Christmas displays. Each year, the entrance to the exclusive residence dons a magnificent Christmas tree, which is guaranteed to turn heads. While it may be a private club – you don’t need to be a member to appreciate the stunning décor.

It’s the go-to backdrop for a signature Christmas pic - guaranteed to leave your followers envy-ridden as they try to suss out your location.

In 2018, the display consisted of a red and gold tree, framed by two candy canes. The following year, they branched out from the traditional festive feel – opting for a more luxurious color scheme, made up of gold and white tones.

However, 2021 is the most spectacular year yet. Encrusted with Swarovski crystals, this year’s display features a gingerbread façade, designed by legendary creative director – Giovanna Engelbert.

Undoubtedly, their most ornate spectacle yet – you don’t want to miss out on this crystalized candy showstopper!

For most of us, travel has been off the cards since the pandemic began. With uncertainty remaining and restrictions ever-changing – the idea of escaping to a real-life winter wonderland seems far-fetched, to say the least.

Not to worry though – unique restaurant, Coppa Club – located in Tower Bridge, will make you feel as though you’ve been transported to the North Pole. The seating arrangements are formed around bauble-shaped domes, meaning that guests can dine in their very own igloo.

During these chilly winter nights, why not indulge in a glass of bubbly under a canopy of lanterns? With an exclusive “igloo menu” to choose from – dishes range from a truffled, wagyu beer burger to a halibut kiev – how can we resist?

Bookings are available now until the 23rd of January 2022.
