Beyoncé Delivers A Powerful Performance At The Oscars Ceremony
The queen is back.
On Sunday Beyoncé made her first award show performance in 5 years and opened the Oscars ceremony 2022 where she was nominated for Best Original Song with the track “Be Alive” from King Richard (2021).
The singer paid tribute to Serena and Venus Williams and performed at the Compton Tennis Court where the two sisters debuted their career.
Beyoncé wore a neon yellow dress by David Koma, matching with her back singers and dancers in a full tennis ball-inspired color palette. Her daughter Blue Ivy, 10, was also part of the performance.
Beyoncé was praised by fans and media and had a massive impact on the ceremony itself that had its second highest audience peak in History when the superstar performed. After the performance, the audience dropped in 60%.
The superstar did not win the Oscar but she definitively won people’s heart.
