Beyoncé and JAY-Z Star In New Tiffany & Co. Campaign
An iconic ad for the power pair
Jewelry designer Tiffany & Co. unveils its first campaign starring the iconic couple of Queen B and her power partner. Titled 'About Love’ the ad has the pair posing and singing next to a never been seen before painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat featuring the label’s signature robin egg blue. This piece of artwork is the only blue piece featured throughout the campaign, titled ‘Equals Pi’ which will permanently be displayed at Tiffany’s flagship boutique on NYC’s Fifth Avenue.
This is the first joint campaign for Beyoncé and Jay-Z and also the first feature of the house’s famous Tiffany Diamond, a yellow gemstone of 128.54 carats and 82 facets. Beyoncé is the first black woman to wear the gem, only previously worn by Mary Whitehouse, Audrey Hepburn and Lady Gaga - so this is an iconic moment to be proud of for the star. The Carter's partnership with Tiffany also includes the commitment of $2 million towards scholarship and internship programmes for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Shot at the Orum House in LA with Beyoncé’s rendition of ‘Moon River’, the theme song from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Queen Bee mirrors Audrey Hepburn’s role in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Beyoncé looks glam in a classic black dress with a flirtatious open back detailing showcasing the jewelry piece, complemented by a modern twist tousled up-do to highlight the gems. Jay-Z is suited in a black tux with an Apollo brooch in platinum, yellow gold, and diamonds, accented with a Bird on a Rock brooch that was refashioned as cufflinks for the shoot. Professionally filmed by Jay-Z himself with a Super 8 camera, directed by Emmanuel Adjei and photographed by Mason Poole the clip is a true spectacle that embodies the beauty of creation that Tiffany masters.
The 'About Love' campaign will debut in print in September, with the video launching on September 15 on Tiffany's website and other big spaces like Times Square.
