Bella Hadid's Collaboration With Celebrity Stylist Sparks Fashion Debate

Her latest look is straight off the runway.

Back in 2022, Bella Hadid told WSJ Magazine that she hadn’t had a full-time stylist for two years. Aside from working with Mimi Cuttrell and Carlos Nazario for the odd red-carpet appearance and events, the supermodel has been styling her own outfits for the last four years.
Her street style has sparked polarizing debates (she triggered the blokette trend) but has ultimately landed her top spot on most outfit-inspo Pinterest boards.

Last year, Bella took five months of medical leave to get treatment for Lyme Disease and now, she’s back in force. Since returning from her time off, Bella has done campaigns with Charlotte Tilbury, Victorias Secret, and appeared in Vogue Italia and Perfect Magazine alongside using her platform to be extremely vocal about the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Behind the scenes, Bella has been working on her newest and most exciting business venture – Orebella, the first intentional skin parfum.

She has stepped out in a string of outfits that leap from business-chic to ethereal goddess to promote her long-awaited fragrances.

Instead of styling them herself, she has turned to Molly Dickson.
With a resume that boasts styling Sydney Sweeney, Ariana Greenblatt, Lana Del Rey, and Camila Mendes, it’s evident that Dickson has a gift for styling It Girls.

So far, she’s styled Bella in a 2004 Christian Dior dress by Galliano that gives off an air of subtle whimsy and lightness. The next look, and perhaps the most talked about, is an ethereal white lace ROKH dress paired with vintage Chanel sandals. Whilst the previous looks perfectly match the dreamy Orebella aesthetic that is present in the campaign, Bella’s most recent look shows that she means business. Dickson pulled a full Gucci look from the ss/24 collection. A matching mini skirt and blazer over a tanned camisole complete with monogrammed platform loafers.

The switch from self-styled to using a celebrity stylist has left High Fashion (HF) Twitter in a state of debate. Whilst Bella Hadid can pull off anything and everything, some fashion fans think that the most recent look has diluted her personal style.

While others believe that Bella is leaning on a stylist to prepare for the upcoming Met Gala.

That isn’t to say that Molly Dickson hasn’t deserved the praise she rightfully deserves.

Whether she’s getting papped in a self-styled outfit consisting of a plaid mini-skirt and a sports jacket or stepping out in a look pulled straight from the runway by a stylist, one thing will always ring true – Bella Hadid will always look great.
