Bella Hadid Responds to Style Criticism

The supermodel really doesn’t care if you don’t like it.

Bella Hadid is one of the most prominent style icons of the moment. Her Y2K inspired looks are being recreated all over the internet and her personal style is constantly being talked about. However, even it-girls like Bella are subject to scrutiny and not everyone has positive things to say regarding Hadid’s style choices. The 25-year-old model is her own stylist and has been for over two years and is proud of her personal style; Hadid took to her Instagram stories earlier this week writing “Anyone who doesn’t like my style … It’s a good thing it’s mine. And not yours!!”

Hadid has discussed her feelings towards those who hate on her styling decisions in previous interviews and has expressed a similar comfort and security in her identity and personal style. This was a topic that came up in Hadid’s controversial Vogue cover story which delved into her thoughts on the conflict between Israel and Palestine as well as her regrets surrounding her decision to get a nose-job at the age of 14. In her discussion with Vogue Hadid stated “I know what I like. I always have, since I was young. And I’ve never drifted.” I think it’s safe to say we could all take a leaf out of Bella’s book and care less what people think about our personal style because it is clearly working for the fashion icon.
