Bella And Gigi Hadid Pledge $1 Million To Support Palestinian Relief
Supermodel sisters aid organizations supporting Palestinian children and families.
Models Bella and Gigi Hadid are donating $1 million to aid Palestinian relief. BBC has reported that the money pledged by the Hadids, who are of Palestinian heritage, will be split between four organizations focusing on children and families. The organizations are HEAL Palestine, Palestine Children Relief Fund, World Central Kitchen, and United Nations Relief and Works Agency.
Both sisters have been showing support for the people affected by the conflict.
Bella Hadid shows her support daily on her Instagram account, she posts news updates, statistics, and hard-hitting quotes to her story to urge people to become educated. She links back to the conflict even while posting about work to show that the people of Palestine should always be on our minds.
Under an Instagram post of a sign saying, ‘It’s free Palestine until Palestine is free – Bella Hadid’ she wrote:
“A Palestinian girl on the cover of Vogue. The joy it brings me to say that….I won’t stop talking about the systematic oppression, pain and humility that Palestinians face on a regular basis. With only love in my heart and an open mind to educate myself and learn more every day…. No matter what. I Love You.”
In an Instagram post in October 2023, Gigi Hadid stated:
“My thoughts are with all those affected by this unjustifiable tragedy, and every day that innocent lives are taken by this conflict – too many of which are children. I have deep empathy and heartbreak for the Palestinian struggle and life under occupation, it’s a responsibility I hold daily.”
