ARMEDANGELS Unveils First Flagship Store
Cologne gets conscious.
Sustainable fashion just got a real-life home. Cologne-based label ARMEDANGELS has opened its very first standalone retail store on Ehrenstraße 29, and it's not your average storefront. More than a shop, it’s a full-on experience—part brand hub, part design manifesto, and part experimental playground. “This is our first time shaping the entire brand experience from the ground up,” said CEO Martin Höfeler. The store is designed to bring the brand's values into physical form and deepen its connection with the community.
Less Noise, More Intent
Forget flashy displays—this space is built on restraint. Created in collaboration with Spanish design studio DIIR, the store is a tactile statement in minimalism. Natural stone, brushed steel, and raw textures invite touch and pause, forming a visual rhythm between warmth and coolness. Every material is selected with care: regional, modular, repairable, and durable. The space is calm, honest, and purpose-driven. “We didn’t want to overwhelm—we wanted to invite,” said Creative Director Christiane Bördner.
Slow Shopping in Style
The ARMEDANGELS store encourages a slower, more intentional shopping vibe. Think less impulse, more impact. Highlights include a DetoxDenim wall with a built-in fit guide, a materials zone spotlighting innovations like Saxcell® Lyocell, and rotating storytelling corners that bring the brand's mission to life. It’s not just about what you wear—it’s about why.
The Bigger Picture
Since 2007, ARMEDANGELS has been proving that style and ethics can coexist. Starting from humble screen-printed tees for charity, it’s now one of Europe’s top sustainable lifestyle labels. With 160 team members and four thoughtful collections a year, the brand is building a future where fashion is made to last—not just in your closet, but in its impact.
