A Nod To Youth: Anna Sui's 2025 Resort Collection

Yet again, Anna Sui graced the industry with her expertise. The 2025 resort collection by Anna Sui combines femininity and juvenility creating the embodiment of a playful and whimsical zeitgeist. 

"It's about the fantasy of imagination, beauty, heroism and folklore. I believe that we are about to change. Fashion is going to change and I think we're on the cusp of something new. I'm trying to challenge myself a little bit more.” 

Sui explained in the preview, possibly referencing the well-received first Chloé collection by Chemena Kamali and giving a nod to the current "Boho Revival“ we are seeing upon the horizon. 

All pieces play a charming homage to the late 90s and very early 2000s with a soft, feminine and teenage spirit. 

A sweet, and nostalgic charm comes through in the petticoat skirts teamed up with bralettes or chunky knit cardigans. With denim corset tops worn paired by a tweed kilt to match, or white slinky lace party dresses reminiscent of '90s Courtney Love.  While polka dots, a current obsession for Sui, feature in satin and velvet. 

Weightless blue denim, lightly detailed with butterflies, was paired with re-purposed John Fluevog Spring 1993 boots, offering a down-to-earth but quirky feel to the collection. A good portion of whimsical prints round off the collection, dominated by shades of true blue, black and soft lilac. 

The flowy inspired nymph dresses bring an ethereal sense of beauty to the carefree and youthful collection, that couldn't be more fitting for Sui's expanding young clientele. Both softly romantic and texturally rich, the collection speaks to the now-evolving, playful ways of modern fashion. 

Anna Sui's soft sensibility and easy wearability screams "nostalgia!" in a fresh and exciting way that appeals to this new generation who is hungry for a feel of the past.
