Kanye West may be one of the most controversial, polarizing, and unpredictable figures in popular culture, yet one thing he knows how to do is build hype for his creative endeavors. As of late, the rap icon has been displaying his new sunglass design through various public appearances, as well as having a select group of celebrities and influencers sport the eyewear through social media.

Steve Lacey, Lil Uzi Vert, Lisa Rinna, and of course his ex-wife and forever Yeezy muse Kim Kardashian have been the latest celebrities to promote the sunglasses on Instagram. All of them captioning their posts with “YZYGAP” or “YR 3022 YEEZY SHDZ” to promote the new eyewear and build anticipation among fans.

Kanye’s Gap collaboration was first announced in 2020, however just a few weeks ago was the first time the collection was available for in-person shopping at the Gap flagship store in Times Square. The collection currently includes a variety of hoodies, T-shirts, and even all-encompassing bodysuits. The sunglasses are currently not available for purchase, however the momentum for their promotion and marketing has only been increasing with every new celebrity face seen sporting them.

The eyewear has a remarkably unique and futuristic design, with an adjustable strap that goes behind the wearer’s head and a foam nose bridge. As of right now, no new faces have been seen rocking the sunglasses since Lisa Rinna and her daughter Amelia Gray Hamlin.
