Ula Unveils "So Kind": A Bold Solo Debut

A genre-blurring alt-pop voice.

Genre-defying artist Ula makes a striking solo entrance with her debut single So Kind, a synth-soaked track that marks a new chapter for the former frontwoman of prog-pop project Tenacity. This time, Ula stands fully in her power—self-producing, writing, and performing her way into a bold new era of glitchy textures, hypnotic hooks, and boundary-breaking pop.

A Bold Solo Debut from a Genre-Blurring Voice

So Kind is now available on all major streaming platforms, and it’s already making waves for its magnetic energy and sonic unpredictability. Anchored by gritty basslines and a distorted stylophone melody, the track blurs the line between left-field experimentation and infectious melody—inviting listeners into a world that’s both cerebral and emotionally raw.

Synths, Stylophones, and Self-Made Sound

As the first taste of her upcoming debut EP, So Kind is more than just a single—it’s a mission statement. Ula’s sound pulls influence from the likes of St. Vincent, Allie X, and Aurora, marrying pop sensibilities with a love for the weird and cinematic. The track builds a world out of tension and texture: sharp electronics, layered vocals, and off-kilter percussion that feels like a heartbeat in freefall.

Born in Poland and now based in London, Ula’s musical journey began early—studying at The BRIT School at 17 and performing across 70 London venues before 25. As a trained studio engineer and session musician, her control over her sound is complete, and it shows. So Kind proves that Ula isn't just stepping out on her own—she’s forging an entirely new path.
