The North Face X Brain Dead Capsule Collection Creates Adventures Through Ideas
Embracing Californian hippie culture.
The North Face teams up with Los Angeles-based brand Brain Dead for an expedition to the very core of its essence. Inspired by its heritage and the beginnings of The North Face in Berkley, California, the streetwear capsule includes graphic patterns and color perspectives.
Brain Dead has reinterpreted some of the most iconic The North Face pieces to reflect the mindset of Bay Area explorers in the 1960s and 70s, featuring the Denali, the Nuptse and the Mountain jacket. The series brings an unexpected perspective on the classics of The North Face by including a new take on mind-expanding prints, graphics and details that have an handcrafted feel to them.
The capsule collection reflects the counterculture, renaissance and creativity of embracing and celebrating Californian hippie culture while redefining the concept of the expedition as a kind of state of mind.
The nine-part collection launches on November 29th at Los Angeles's Dover Street Market and will be available December 6th at selected The North Face locations, select retailers and online at thenorthface.com.
