Stella McCartney Joins Forces with Yoshitomo Nara for a Second Capsule Collection
The unisex collection features the artist's signature cartoons.
Contemporary Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara and British fashion designer Stella McCartney have partnered for a Spring/Summer 2023 gender-neutral capsule collection. This marks their second collaboration, following a successful Spring/Summer 2021 capsule that was Nara's first foray into the fashion world.
Yoshitomo Nara is a painter and sculptor best known for his depictions of big-headed children with wide eyes. These cartoons are featured on various pieces in Stella McCartney's new collection, along with slogans such as "Don't Waste Another Day," "No War," and "Stop the Bombs." Available pieces include tote bags, sneakers, hoodies, and cardigans, perfect for feeling cozy and comfortable.
Stella McCartney is well known for her sustainable practices and commitment to vegan materials. So it's no surprise that she was able to create activism-focused pieces that remain fun and fashionable. The collection is available now on Stella McCartney's website.
