Sainsbury’s Set To Launch New Vegan Range
Just in time for Veganuary
Last year, it was estimated that around 600,000 people in the UK had now made the switch to a plant-based diet, whilst a fifth of British people now identify as flexitarian. Fast forward to the end of 2019 and that number is sure to have increased. UK supermarket giant Sainsbury’s have reported a year on year increase of 65% in meat free alternatives and are reacting to this ever growing demand by launching a new range of vegan products this January.
The Plant Pioneers range will consist of 31 products including Meat Free Mince, Fishless Fingers and Spicy No Lamb Shawarma Jackfruit and will appear in the fresh, frozen and canned aisles. What better excuse for you to start Veganuary?
The range will be available in stores and online on January 1st.
