As Europe is grinding to a halt. More countries are going into lockdown. Bars, restaurants, and shops are closing their doors. The time has come where even fashion brands are doing their part, using their factories and products for what’s really needed in the world today.

It has recently been announced that the CEOs of Prada, Miuccia Prada, and Patrizio Bertelli, have made an emergency donation to Milan’s hospitals, by providing six intensive care and resuscitation units.

This follows LVMH, the luxury brand that owns Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior, announcing that their perfume factories would instead start manufacturing hand sanitizer for hospitals in France which are currently facing a shortage. They will be producing 12 tonnes of sanitizer this week, and in a statement claimed that ‘These gels will be delivered free of charge to the health authorities’, focusing particularly on the 39 public hospitals in Paris.

On a global scale, the virus has infected more than 160,000 and killed more than 6,000, and nations like the UK are taking further steps to prevent the spread of the disease in the coming days.
