Peacock Drops 'Vampire Academy' Teaser Trailer
A new look at the students of St. Vladimir's Academy.
Peacock released a teaser of their new Vampire Academy series on Thursday following a panel at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC).
The series is a young adult supernatural drama based off the book series by Richelle Mead. Zoey Deutch (Rosemarie "Rose" Hathaway) and Lucy Fry (Vasilisa "Lissa" Dragomir) starred in the 2014 film of the same name. Sisi Stringer (Mortal Kombat) will be portraying Rose Hathaway and Daniela Nieves (Sex Appeal) will be playing Lissa Dragomir.
Lissa is considered a Moroi and comes from the royal family Dragomir while Rose is a human-vampire hybrid known as a Dhampir. The two attend St. Vladimir’s, a haven for individuals like them.
The show is written by Marguerite MacIntyre who portrayed Sheriff Elizabeth Forbes in The Vampire Diaries (TVD). MacIntyre also is credited for writing episodes of TVD’s spinoffs The Originals, and Legacies.
The rest of the cast includes Kieron Moore, Andre Dae Kim, J. August Richards, Anita-Joy Uwajeh, Mia Mckenna-Bruce, Rhian Blundell, Jonetta Kaiser and Andrew Liner.
